Dr. Leslie needs no introduction in the world of research and conservation. A world renowned specialist and expert on crocodiles and freshwater turtles she is based in South Africa and is also a well known ecologist.
Dr. Leslie is also one of the Founder Members of the Dirisana Environmental Consultants and is associated with the Department of Conservation Ecology and Entomology at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. She is also the Regional Vice - Chair for South and East Africa of the IUCN SSC Crocodile Specialist Group

Dr. Leslie has undertaken numerous field surveys related to population dynamics and nesting surveys on crocodiles and freshwater turtles.
